Ultrasound

Bringing ultrasound into the mainstream

Ultrasound is experiencing a renaissance in modern imaging and our products are leading the way. With a heightened sensitivity to imaging radiation as well as an effort to control healthcare costs and improve patient safety, leading health systems within the U.S.A. and abroad are increasingly adopting point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS).

Originating from a United States military DARPA grant to develop the world’s first ultrasound for the battlefield, SonoSite products are ideally suited to the rigor of point-of-care (POCUS) needs with an emphasis on mobility, durability, reliability and ease of use. Our products also include world-class education and support to ensure the best customer experience.

POCUS on the rise

POCUS innovations are in demand more than ever before, and clinicians know they can count on us for technological expertise. Now we are focusing even more on education, training and support for our POCUS users. Sonosite Institute allows users to gain the confidence required to use POCUS in everyday practice while also branching out and becoming proficient in a variety of specialties.

We also work to ensure POCUS workflows are maximized. In line with our longstanding history in imaging informatics, Sonosite Synchronicity software is designed specifically for POCUS to streamline and standardize clinical workflow while delivering administrative efficiencies with flexible credentialing tools.

Adhering to Protected Health Information (PHI) guidelines, the solution includes an array of intuitive features and tools, including customizable worksheets for exam management and PACS-like viewing tools for study analysis.

Assessing problems wherever the patient might be

In the ER, ICU or the operating room, our mobile devices create a big advantage throughout the entire hospital by providing clinicians with rapid answers at the bedside or by safely guiding invasive procedures.

Our devices play an important role in global health and in disaster medicine – and our devices are the industry standard for field-based applications. Mobility and connectivity are very important in these circumstances and the Sonosite iViz is pushing the boundaries of portable imaging despite only weighing one pound.

At Fujifilm, we take the product development process very seriously. It begins with close collaboration with clinicians and studying how our devices need to function within their environment. Then we design solutions that deliver clinical answers quickly and easily. This model has helped us develop our award winning devices.
